| QUIZ NIGHT |
Milton Keynes Lightning Supporters Club will be holding a QUIZ NIGHT at Planet Ice on Thursday 30th August 2007.
We have picked a Thursday as the team will be training from 7.45pm so you could, if you wish, watch the training for 20 miniutes or so and then up to the bar to register your team and be ready for the quiz to start at 8.15pm. The bar will be open and Nick has said the team will come up to the bar after training (and changing) at about 10 ~ 10.15pm. We will have fewer rounds (probably 8 instead of 10) so we can still keep the finish time reasonable.
Would be grateful if we can get an indication of how many people are coming so we can get enough tables and chairs ready
Supporter Club members £3 ~ ~ non members £5 |

| Equipment Grid |
We have re-styled the equipment grid for the new season. Our aim is that a much bigger % of the money given for equipment gets to the team to buy equipment. Last season there were a lot of "freebies" but of course these "freebies" do cost money. We hope you approve the new style grid and of course once we have tried it for a season all Supporters Club Members can discuss it at the AGM. We have also tried to involve the younger fans this season.
We are hoping to produce a grid page on the website - please bear with us
We have already got some interest in a few players for the whole equipment and it will be a case of first come (with the money) first served.
If anyone would like to sponsor equipment on the grid for a player that has already been announced you can write to me at 1 Armourer Drive, Neath Hill, Milton Keynes MK14 6JT.
It would be quite good to have some of the grid completed for the first programme.

| ANNOUNCEMENT |
Following recent events, We are pleased to announce that the upcoming season will see the inaugural year of the Milton Keynes Lightning Supporters Club. After listening to what Harry Howton said at the MKIHSC AGM, and after listening to the comments and reaction of those members present at the AGM, the MKLSC has been formed to support Milton Keynes Lightning. The committee is made up of Dave Bunyan (Chairman), Mary Golson (Secretary), Richard Wilmot (Social & PR), Elaine Douglas (Treasurer) and Teresa Mitchell.
The purpose of the club will be to support MKL in any way possible. We will do this by fundraising efforts on home match nights, organising social events during the year and by raising the profile of the team in and around Milton Keynes. The membership year runs from the 1st June to 31st May, and subscriptions this year will be £8 for adults, £2.50 for juniors and £16 for a family (all persons residing at the same address, maximum 2 adults). An application form will be made available on here as soon as possible. If you would like one now, please send an email to mklsc-secretary@hotmail.co.uk.
After speaking to the trustees of the MKIHSC, we understand that they plan to continue with the running of the MKIHSC to support all hockey in Milton Keynes. The trustee's have taken over as the committee of the club and are looking at ways forward to maintain this. Both committees have wished each other well in their ventures and are supportive of each other. It is understood that further details about the MKIHSC will be made available in due course from the clubs trustees.
As always, we are open to any suggestions you may have, and should you wish to contact any of us, the email addresses are at the bottom. We look forward to the new season with much excitement and would like to thank you in advance for all your support. |
