MKL Add Big 'Pease' of the Puzzle |
|
It is with great pleasure that we announce our latest signing for the 2008/09 season in James Pease. Defender James comes back to MK for his second stint with the Lightning after spending a year with us in our second season. With the exception of that season James has played all his hockey with both the Solihull Barons and the Coventry Blaze. James not only comes to us as a very experienced and winning defender but he will also be bringing his coaching experience with him. James has been very active in the Coventry junior program and he will be assisting Head Coach Nick Poole this coming season.
Nick said of his latest signing, 'James is a massive signing for us in every sense of the word. He immediately brings both strength and size to our defence which is an area that we lacked in last season. He is used to winning and I am very confident that his winning mentality and experience will be a key factor in getting our hands back on some silverware this season. He has been a key member over the last few years in a very successful team. Although a stay at home defender, I believe we will see more offensive output from Peasey this coming season.' Nick went on to add, 'James will be a big asset on the coaching side and will primarily assist on the defensive side of our game. He will also take some of our training sessions from time to time enabling me to work on the playing side of my game. Being a GB international James will be big asset to some of the young defenders in our club. I am thrilled to have him back in our team and I know he will once again be a big hit with our fans.' |
