David to Wride the Lightning in 07/08 |

MK Lightning are very pleased to announc that netminder David Wride has joined the club for the upcoming season. David spent last season with the Haringay Greyhounds of the ED1 league and helped the Greyhounds make the Playoff Finals. David spent the second half of last season travelling up to MK on a Tuesday night for extra training and he impressed coach Nick Poole and players alike with his speed and quickness.
Nick on his latest signing, 'I am very pleased to bring in a young netminder like David for one of the two spots up for grabs. David really impressed me with his comittment to improve last season in coming up to MK for our late night training sessions. He is a very quick and agile goalie and I know he is going to be pushing for the starting position on our team next year. He is hungry and loves his hockey and I know that once he gets his confidence at this level he is going to be a game winner like he was in the English National League. Dave will be wearing shirt number 30 this upcoming season.
