It is with great pleasure that the supporters club committee can announce details for shirt sponsorship for this coming season 2009-2010..
It has been decided that for the upcoming season both the Home and Away players shirts will be available for individual sponsorship again. This is your chance to have your name on the back of the shirt worn by your favourite player each time he steps onto the ice. At the end of the season, you will be presented with your shirt by the player and the shirt is yours to keep, the proud owners of the shirts will also have there names in the home match night programme and also have there names on the big screen above the benches!!
The start date for bids will be 9am on Thursday 6th August 2009. Unfortunately with it being the close season it is very difficult to communicate this to everyone without using the internet, so could we ask that people spread the word about this so that as many people as possible get to know.
As was the way for the home and away shirts last season, the cost of sponsoring a shirt is £250. But, as both home and away shirts are available, you can sponsor 2 shirts for £400. So say you wanted to sponsor Andre Smulters home and away shirt, it would cost you £400 as a special price for the two, or if you have two favourite players you could pick Andres home shirt and say Nick Pooles away shirt!!....I know a lot of couples who have different players as there favourites, we thought this would be a good way of stopping any potential domestics!!
We understand that this is a lot of money to part with in one hit, so we have come up with a payment plan for those who wish to spread the cost a little. To sponsor one shirt, we require £150 deposit to secure the shirt and get your name on it, and the balance of £100 to be paid by December 1st 2009. If you would like to sponsor 2 shirts, then a deposit of £200 secures the shirts and gets your name on it, with the balance of £200 to be paid by December 1st 2009.
Last season the supporters club raised in excess of £28,000 for MKL, shirt sponsorship went a long way into making this possible.
