MK Lightning forward Adam Calder is heading back to North America this week - but Lightning supporters can relax, it's only a flying visit. The reason? Adam is to be reunited with his team mates from the University of Dakota ice hockey team which won the men's National Collegiate Athletics Association hockey championships in 1997, for their induction into the university's prestigious Hall of Fame.

The Milton Keynes Lightning play their first double-header of the season when they take on the Basingstoke Bison this Sunday at the Thunderdome.   And like the recent pre-season warm-up games against Peterborough, some close season player transfers between the teams will add some spice to the fixtures.  Lightning go into the games on the back of a morale-boosting 8-2 victory over Manchester Phoenix last weekend, followed by a 5-2 away defeat to Guildford Flames.

Milton Keynes Lightning get their campaign for English Premier League silverware off to the biggest possible start this coming weekend with two barnstorming fixtures, first facing the EPL runners-up Manchester Phoenix at home on Saturday then away to reigning league champions Guildford Flames on Sunday.
