Big-hearted golfers and local businesses have raised £1,000 for the British Heart Foundation recently, supporting and contesting the Milton Keynes Lightning Charity Golf Day, sponsored by Lok ‘n’ Store.

Milton Keynes Lightning Ice Hockey Club is delighted to confirm that defenceman Ross Green is included in the final Team GB U20 squad for the forthcoming World Championships. Emphasising the quality of players coming through the MK youth system, it was also recently announced that Edward Knaggs, a defender for MK Storm U14’s, has been selected to represent England in forthcoming tournaments in Hungary and the Czech Republic.
Lightning aim to continue momentum to neuter Cats’ threat
MK Lightning aim to use the confidence picked up after taking three points from a possible four against Guildford Flames last weekend, to see off the threat of Swindon Wildcats in this weekend’s double header against the Wiltshire side. After winning seven of their first eight league fixtures this season, Lightning uncharacteristically dropped points to Peterborough Phantoms and Bracknell Bees – then immediately bounced back last Saturday with a dominant 6-4 home defeat of Flames and took another point from a hard-fought return leg 24 hours later.
