Blaz To Play Tonight
MK Lightning are pleased that the penalty on Blaz has been down graded to a 5 + game penalty which means he will be icing tonight. The incident occurred last Sunday when Jeff Glowa was cut on Blaz's skate after falling whilst taking a face-off. Blaz was called for a 5 + match for high sticks and Jeff had to go to hospital to receive treatment. We would like to thank Peterborough for their support in making sure Blaz would not miss any further action due to a wrong call. We also hope that Jeff is healing well and that he will be ready for the weekend.

Affectionately known by many in the Lightning set-up as ‘Bertie’, Mark – doorman and match DJ for the Lightning – suffered a heart attack in March this year whilst playing badminton, and underwent emergency surgery to clear a blocked artery. Thanks to the support and guidance he has received from doctors and nurses, a cardio health rehabilitation team and the British Heart Foundation, Bertie’s health is now back to his pre-illness level – and he says the BHF Santa Jog at Willen Lake next month is his opportunity to give something back to those who helped his recovery.
