MK Lightning Introduce Half Season Tickets

For the first time ever, Lightning supporters now have the chance to snap up a half-season ticket that will save you money over matchnight ticket prices AND lets you secure your seat (or spot at the plexi!) for the rest of the season.
 
The half-season ticket starts with our home game against Telford Tigers on Saturday 7th January, and takes in every home game up to and including the mouthwatering final home against Slough Jets on Saturday 31st March – not only that, but your seat at the imminent EPL Cup semi-final is also guaranteed.
 
General manager Vito Rausa said, “Supporters have asked for this, and we’re happy to oblige!  You see in the news every day that the economic situation isn’t getting any better, so we’re happy to be able to offer supporters a half-season ticket that gives fans the chance to save money.
 
“Things are going very well for us this season – we’re in a very strong league position with everything to play for, and having qualified for the Cup semi final gives us an extra chance for silverware.  We’ve had some fantastic attendances this season, so not only will a half-season ticket make sure you get the seat or viewing spot you want for the remaining games, but you won’t have to stand in queues at the ticket office on matchnights.  We know a lot of supporters have suggested half-season tickets in the past, so we hope people will take advantage of the benefits they provide”.

MATCHNIGHT TICKET PRICES UNCHANGED FOR LIGHTNING EARLYBIRDS

With the start of the new season only a month away, Milton Keynes Lightning have announced that matchnight ticket prices for the coming campaign at Planet Ice will be unchanged for supporters who buy in advance.

Tickets for Lightning’s home games can be bought at 2010-11 season prices at the Planet Ice box office, up to a week in advance – so supporters can even buy their ticket for the following week’s game during a period break of the match they’re at! Tickets can be bought at 2010-11 season prices right up until close of business the day before a home match. Supporters who buy their tickets on the day of the game will pay the new 2011-12 season prices of £12 per adult, £8 per concession and £5.50 per child.

The new season’s prices mean that season tickets for 2011-12 represent even better value than ever, with adult supporters saving £84 on matchnight prices for all 27 home league and cup games. And Lightning’s youngest supporters can cheer on the team for less than £5 per game, with child season tickets available for £120. Substantial savings are available for supporters buying family season tickets; two adults and two children with a family season ticket will save almost £200 on matchday entrance prices to watch Nick Poole’s men mount their campaign to bring silverware back to the Thunderdome.

And to help make it easier to afford a season ticket, supporters will again be able to pay for their season tickets in up to five interest-free instalments after payment of an initial deposit. Season ticket holders also have the advantage of being able to reserve their preferred viewing spot at the Planet Ice arena - be it a favourite seat or a spot by the plexi-glass, supporters can watch every home league and cup game at a discount and in the viewing spot of their choice.

The club’s general manager,Vito Rausa, said that he hoped supporters would take full advantage of the many benefits of buying advance and season tickets. “You not only save money on matchnight prices but there’s no standing in a queue to get in – and if you have a season ticket, you then go straight to your reserved seat.

“The club and Planet Ice have done everything possible to make sure ice hockey in Milton Keynes remains financially accessible. When VAT rose in January, Lightning and Planet Ice absorbed that increase for the second half of the season rather than pass it on to supporters immediately – as some clubs didn’t hesitate to do. Although we’ve now increased prices a little, advance and season tickets mean Lightning supporters can still afford to get behind the team and enjoy an action-packed evening without breaking the bank!”

Whilst Season Ticket prices have remained at the same levels as last year, the Early Bird scheme actually reduces the prices further giving a much bigger saving. Season tickets cover 27 League and Cup games.

Season Tickets include all 27 League games and your seat reserved for any additional games (normal entry charges will apply to any these games).

The great news is that to make paying for a season Ticket easier, you can now still qualify for the Early Bird discount AND spread the cost of your ticket over two instalments - the second of which isn't due until the 1st November.

We have also have a zero interest rate instalment plan that only requires a deposit to be paid prior to the start of the season, with the remainder spread over 5 monthly instalments by Direct Debit (although these do not qualify for the early bird discount).

Deposits required and details are as follows

Single Adult –Deposit £50, followed by 5 monthly direct debit payments of £40
Single Child - Deposit £25, followed by 5 monthly direct debit payments of £20

Single Concession - Deposit £35, followed by 5 monthly direct debit payments of £25

Family:

1 Adult, 2 children - Deposit £75, followed by 5 monthly direct debit payments of £65
2 Adults, 1 child - Deposit £105, followed by 5 monthly direct debit payments of £85
2 Adults, 2 children - Deposit £110, followed by 5 monthly direct debit payments of £100

All deposits must be paid on or before the 23rd September

Direct Debits will be collected on the first of each month for 5 months
