James Pease To Play Final Game For MKL Tonight
Saturday, 01 November 2008
It is with sadness that James Pease will be playing his final game for the Lightning tonight against Swindon as he has been offered a job with the Coventry Blaze Management Team that was too good to turn down. James will be making the switch from the ice to the front office over the next few weeks and will be calling it a day on what has been a very successful career. We would like to express our thanks for the time and effort James has put in with MKL both over these first few weeks and also for the year he gave us in our second season. He will be missed both on and off the ice and I am sure we will see James from time to time in MK.
All the best James!

Local Derby
Monday, 20 October 2008
This weekend see's MK Lightning take on local rivals and 3rd place in the league Peterborough Phantoms - always a game to keep you on the edge of your seat
Tonights game was atense affair, neither side giving an inch, both netminders playing really good games, it was Peterborough that scored first in the 31st minute Rempel, from Hutchinson from Gough and it was a Power play goal.
Lightning came back in the third period through Gary Clarke, from Adam Radmall and Andre Smulter at 49.04. But Peterborough struck back at 53.35 with a goal by Gough, from Peacock and Wall a short handed goal this time.
An overall good perfromance by both teams, a shame there had to be a loser
