In December the Management of MKL were approached by Virgin Trains Magazine asking if they could 'do a piece' on The Lightning - you may have seen them on the night Smults got injured - well, here it is, we couldn't have asked for more - you will have to register to see the magazine, but it is worth it.
Lightning have just the one game this weekend - Swindon at home on Saturday - it was a close game all the way through with Lightning scoring at the 30 minute mark, but credit to Swindon they didn't give in and scored with 4 mins to go on the clock to force Lightning into overtime - but Andre Smlter scored another crucial goal to win the game for MKL. Final score Lightning 2 - 1 Swindon

The English Ice Hockey Association are pleased to announce that tickets are now available to order for this season’s EPIHL Play-Off Finals Weekend, taking place at the Skydome Arena in Coventry on the 10th & 11th April.
We came in to the weekend understandably expecting two very difficult games against two of the top sides in the EPIHL and whilst we couldn’t have predicted the outcome we were certainly pleased at how things turned out.
Andre Smulter will be playing in tonights Planet ice Shield game and would love to see you all along raising the roof for his return after is injury lay off

Part 1 of a fantastic weekend of Ice Hockey and Lightning come out on top, with Lightning scoring within 27 seconds. There were goals traded all night between both teams Lightning came out victors – goal and penalties details are available in the Match Details.
On Sunday Lightning are away to Guildford who are rapidly rising up the table having beaten Manchester twice this weekend, what a fantastic weekend of ice hockey
