MK Lightning announce pre season warm up games

The  MK Lightning are pleased to announce that they will play their first game at home against the Peterborough Phantoms for the Ashes, on Thursday 10th September with the return leg on the following Wednesday 16th September in Peterborough. We are also pleased to confirm that these two games will sandwich two friendly warm up games against EPL rivals Romford Raiders, the first of which will be at home on Saturday 12th September followed by the return game on Sunday 13th September in Romford.   It means the Lightning will play four warm up games before the season starts in earnest on Saturday 20th September although to call any games against Peterborough or indeed Romford  only "warm up games" is a bit unfair on both these teams. Peterborough are coming off of their most successful season to date, having bagged the treble last year and Romford, who were probably the most improved side in the league last season will certainly be a stiff test prior to the start of Lightning's 2009/10 campaign.   Face off times and ticket arrangements will be confirmed nearer the dates so keep your eye on the MK Lightning website for full details.
