Lightning Strike For Defensive Duo
The Milton Keynes Lightning are pleased to announce the re-signing of defender Lewis Christie and newcomer Mike Farn.  Both young defenders are former GB U20 players and are coming off of excellent seasons with their respective teams.
ImageLewis was one of the signings of the season for us last season after coming to us from the Belfast Giants of the Elite League.  Scottish born Christie quickly became a fan favorite for his 100% effort performances and solid play.  By season's end Lewis was always paired against the other teams top lines and was a major factor in the Lightning having one of the best defensive records in the league.

Poole on the latest re-signing. 'As soon as the season ended Lewis was a priority to re-sign.  He went from strength to strength over the season and more than exceeded my expectations.  He is strong in all areas of the game and I am expecting him to increase on his point production from last season.  He is a player that I hope we see in a MK shirt for a good many years to come'.

Mike Farn comes to the Lightning after two solid seasons in a Swindon Wildcat shirt.  He was one of the EPL's best young defenders and is also a very solid all round player.  Mike moves the puck very well Imageand is going to be a great asset on our team.  We are thrilled to have Mike on board for next season as he had several teams looking to sign him up.  Mike will where number 55 next season.

Nick on signing Mike Farn, 'Having played against Mike now for two seasons we are incredibly pleased to have him playing with us next year.  He is a good skater, tough to beat and distributes the puck very well.  I know he was a very popular player with the Swindon fans and I know he will quickly become a fan favorite here in Milton Keynes.'
