LAST CHANCE TO SPONSOR LIGHTNING!
With only two English Premier League games this season under their belt, Milton Keynes Lightning’s list of shirt sponsors is already close to completion - with only a handful of players remaining available.

The club offers its supporters the chance to sponsor individual players every season, with all proceeds directly contributing to MKL’s own finances to meet essential running costs – paying for everything from player wages to new helmet visors.  In return, sponsors not only have their name displayed prominently on their chosen player’s shirt, but also on the rink-side message board, team website, matchnight programme and announced at the Thunderdome as the players line up for action.  Sponsors also have the shirt presented to them at the end of the season by the player they “owned and loaned”, and a photograph  with that player as a memento.

With a roster of 18 players and three shirts each up for grabs – home, away and warm-up - the club had expected that it might take some time for all 54 shirts to be snapped up – but such has been the interest in Lightning as they set out to reclaim their English Premier League title that only a few remain available.

“We’ve been overwhelmed at just how quickly people have chosen players to sponsor”, said the Lightning’s general manager Vito Rausa.  “Obviously money is tight for everyone currently, so the level of interest we’ve had is amazing.

“Not only do we have individuals sponsoring their personal favourite players, but we have fans buying sponsorship packages as gifts, and local businesses who sponsor players.  This is our supporters’ chance to see their own name on the players’ shirts alongside our official partners.  You wouldn’t get this chance with many other sports teams, but we give fans the chance to see their name on their favourite player’s shirt - and you know you’re helping the club financially”.
