This weekend was yet another HUGE weekend not only for Lightning but also for the other top  of the table teams - Slough were only 4 points behind us at the start of the weekend but with all results going MKL's way we now have a fabulous 8 point lead

Saturday Lightning took on Peterborough Phantoms at home and after what was a niggly game Lightning came off victors, winning 7 - 2, with goals from Andre Smulter x 2, Michael Wales, Ross Bowers x 2, Adam Brittle x 2

Slough were beaten at home by Basingstoke Bison - which set up for a really intense game on Sunday when Lightning travelled to Hampshire.

The game was so close with neither team giving any space and Basingstoke scored first through Ollie Bronninan from Thompson 8 seconds into the second, but then Lightning took the game by the scruff of the neck and came back 27.12 a short handed goal scored by Michael Wales, from Captatin Adam Carr and Coach Nick Poole.

It was a tense second period with no other changes in score, until 31 seconds into the third a goal from recent returnee from injury Andre Smulter, from Leigh Jamieson and Monir Kalgoum to make 1 - 2.  Then Lightning sealed a third via Adam Carr, Nick Poole and Michael Farn. final score 1- 3
