On behalf of the entire MK Lightning team and management I would like to pass on our sincerest thanks for the support over the past season and the past few weeks in particular. Although we are bitterly disappointed to have lost the final yesterday, to an excellent Guildford team we also feel a sense of pride in our play over the last few weeks and a massive sense of gratitude and privilege in our fans. 

At times this season has been frustrating as we have struggled to find the form and consistency that we all believed to be there.  However, the last few weeks have been a pleasure to be a part of, and to see our team and supporters really come together, which makes the MK hockey community special. 

The support in Coventry was amazing, and it was a pleasure to play in front of you.  We know you are all as disappointed as we are, but we also felt the enormous pride and your indeed support in defeat.  For that we are immensely grateful.  The team gave everything we had to try and get another playoff trophy but we came up a bit short against a very strong team,in the Guildford Flames who were deserved winners and we all congratulate them.

Once again, on behalf of the entire team - Thank you - we have loved playing in front of you and wish you all a great summer.
