Week 8 was the Semi Finals of the Summer Hockey League and saw League leaders Capitals (white) playing third place Penguins (Blacks) - league positions didn't matter - it was winners of todays games going through the the final games next week.

Both games were end to end and went no more than 2 goals apart.  Blacks needed assistance from a few extra players as they were short benched, drafted in was Lightnings new D Man Mike Farn and the game went right to the last 2mins to find a winner and the Capitals came up victorious winning 6 - 5.

Game 2 saw Canucks (Blue) without their leader Leigh Jamieson, but again was a very close affair with teams trading goals throughout - final score saw the Blue winning 6-4 with the final goal being an empty net goal

So Next Weeks games will be

Flames (red) v Penguins (Blacks) for 3-4 place

Then

Capitals (Whites) v Canucks (Blue)
