Storming Playoff Win For Under 14's
Monday, 11 May 2009

Congrats go out to the MK Under 14's for there two-legged playoff victory over the Isle of Wight Lightning.  The 5-4 aggregate victory ensures that the U14's will be competing in the A League next season.  I had the pleasure of benching with the lads in the second leg and I must say it was the most enjoyable and rewarding match I have been a part of this season.  The lads all played to their maximum and played with confidence and spirit in what was a pressure filled match.  Congrats go to all the players, coaches, managers and parents for what was a great weekend of hockey.  The entire junior club and MK hockey community are very proud of you boys.  Well done!

Thanks For A Great Night
Sunday, 19 April 2009
I would like to pass on my thanks to all that made last night a fantastic evening.  It was very touching that so many people took the time to come and enjoy the match.   It was great seeing both our regular supporters and also some old faces that I have not seen for a while.  I hope everyone enjoyed as much as I did.  I would like to thank all the players that gave up their time to lace up the skates one last time this season.  It was greatly appreciated.   The night simpy could not have happened without the following people's help:  Dave, Mary, Debbie, Karen, Clive, Richard, Anita, Chris, Neil, Mark, and Bob.  I would also like to thank the refs and all the match night helpers.  Also a big thumbs up to all the MK under 12's who were not only great entertainment but got the day started off right with a fantastic win against Swindon.

Thanks to all!

Another Big Thanks To Supporter's Club
Saturday, 11 April 2009
The MK Lightning would like to thank the Supporter's Club for there donation to the team this past week.  The MKLSC presented us with a fantastic cheque for £3500 earlier this week.  This cheque on top of all the previous donations has helped the Lightning thrive this season and we incredibly grateful to have what is arguable the most successful Supporter's Club in British hockey.  Thanks to all and we look forward to seeing all our great fans with us up in Coventry this coming weekend.
