Storm Under 16 Defy Odds To Earn 3-3 Draw
Monday, 25 April 2011
A massive congratulations to the MK Storm Under 16 (A's) who played there final game of the season this past Sunday. With a shortened bench and missing influential players the Storm earned a hard fought draw in Romford. Despite playing without England netminder Jordan Hedley the players earned a point. Goals were scored by Jack East, Fraser Green & David Lapushner . Special mention goes to Keegan Starkey who normally plays defense but for this game played in net. Well done to Head Coach Andy Linton and all the lads for a great end to the season.
MKL Prospect Shines With England in Latvia
Monday, 18 April 2011
MK Storm net-minder Jordan Hedley has just returned from his second trip overseas this year with the England U15's team. His first outing in an U15's tournament in Amiens France saw the team finish a very respectable 3rd with Jordan getting the nod as the best net-minder in the tournament.
On behalf of the entire MK Lightning team and management I would like to pass on our sincerest thanks for the support over the past season and the past few weeks in particular. Although we are bitterly disappointed to have lost the final yesterday, to an excellent Guildford team we also feel a sense of pride in our play over the last few weeks and a massive sense of gratitude and privilege in our fans.
The Milton Keynes Lightning would like to wish Head Coach Andy Linton and the Great Britain Sledge Hockey Team the best of luck as they fly out to Sweden to compete in the World Sledge Hockey Championships. 'Lints' has been a key figure in the development of all of our MK juniors and we are all very proud of him. Good luck Team GB!
Seasons Greetings
Friday, 24 December 2010
Season's Greetings to all our great supporters. On behalf of the Players, Management and Staff I would like to wish everyone a very safe and Happy Holiday. It was a shame that we could not play this past weekend but it will give some of our players an extra few days to heal and we should be even sharper for our upcoming matches. We look forward to an exciting second half of the season where we believe we can push further up the table and compete for the final two pieces of silverware. Once again happy holidays and see you next Thursday as we take on the Swindon Wildcats at Planet Ice MK.
