With a month to go before our first competitive match It is great to feel the excitement building amongst both players and supporters. We have had a great break but it is now time for hockey.
Looking around the league it looks more competitive than ever which will make for entertaining games every weekend. Just about every team has made improvements and there will be no easy points this season. With both Bracknell and Telford (the two teams that failed to make the playoffs) making significant changes and the likes of Sheffield and Swindon upping their rosters the league should tighten with more points being taken off the top teams. I feel very confident with our team and know the lads are very determined to battle for silverware this coming season. Although we have not made massive changes to our team I feel we have altered the dynamics of our group and we will be a much tougher team to play against. We have made a couple of key signings that will give us the ability to be bigger and stronger up front and will enable us to play a very complete game. In MK we have never relied on one player or line to win us games but relied on the team as a whole and that will not change this coming year. Please enjoy the next few (MKL) hockey free weekends and we hope to see you all at the meet the players night and the Ashes weekend matches against our old rivals Peterborough. Also stay tuned for more player news over the coming weeks! |
